This gal looks like the life of the party! She and her Afghan hound are one piece, made of chalkware from the 1940's. Chalkware is an up and coming collectible, as it used to be won for free at carnivals, like carnival glass did. Now it is sought after by collectors who want to get in early on the next big thing. Lots of great details and colors show in this piece. The dress is a marigold yellow and her hair is light brown. She has blue eyes and bright red lips! Her dog is a creamy white with brown eyes. This piece is solid and measures about 10.5" tall and almost 6" wide. There is a small nick in the chalkware here and there, but nothing to take away form the shabby beauty of this old piece.
